When you come to drop off your clothes, I prefer to have you come in and try on your clothes. I have a Fitting Room you can change in. Q: What do I need to bring for formal and suit?
For wedding and formal bring your gown, shoes and any undergarment you plan to wear for the occasion. If you want me to do any modification on your gown, like adding straps, sleeves, or change neckline etc.. Bring a picture of your idea. You can also bring a best friend someone you trust for opinion. For suit, bring your shoes if you wear belt have it with you.

Q: What if I’m not happy with the outcome?
I guarantee all works to your approval. This is why it is important to be professionally fitted and measured at drop off. When I measure you the pinning tells you how the garment will fit after completed. I always leave enough fabric to accommodate changes. My work is not complete until you’re happy. Of course it is impossible to please everyone but I will do all I can and try!

Q: When do I pay for alteration?
Normally alteration payment is due at pick up. For wedding gown, I need deposit half at the second fitting and the rest at the final fitting.

Q: What form of payment do you accept?
I take cash, check or credit. If you decided to do credit there will be a credit fee.

Q: Is there a rush fee?
I don’t like to charge a rush fee. I understand unexpected things happen in life beyond our control and sometimes it could be very stressful such as a delay shipment of your wedding gown, a suit needs to be tailored for funeral etc. In such cases, I would love to assist you and please give me a call to discuss. I can help you if I’m available otherwise; I can refer to you other trusted seamstress.

Q: How many fittings do I need for wedding gown alteration?
Typically, it will require three fittings. At the first fitting, I will pin what need to be altered, and show you different options for the bustle. On the second fitting, I will double check the works that has been done before finishing the alterations. Finally, on the third fitting, everything is sewn and ready to pick up.

Q: How long does it take to alter a wedding dress?
Because alterations take time, you should schedule your first fitting eight to ten weeks before your wedding day.

Q: How long does a wedding dress fitting take?
I would allow about 30- 45 minute for your first fitting, and each subsequent fitting should take 30 minutes or less.
